Golf to join Clipper Athletics

Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College Athletic department announces the addition of Golf to the Clipper teams.  The Men's Golf team will be in full swing for the 2010 - 2011 season, with the Women's Golf team following shortly after.

The Golf program will be under the leadership of Scott Allen. 

Coach Allen has a successful collegiate record, with accomplishments at Manhattanville College, Seton Hall University and Adelphi University.  With nine seasons as a NCAA Head Golf Coach, Allen has led two different schools to a combined three NCAA Regional appearances, three conference championships, seven tournament titles, and qualified for four ECAC Championships.  His players have won seven individual titles, been named Conference Player of the Year four times, and All Region once. 

"Needless to say, we are extremely excited to welcome Coach Allen and the Golf program to the Concordia community.  Scott brings a wealth of experience and contacts in the Golf world, which will most certainly bring us to the forefront of the sport," stated Clipper Athletic Director Ivan Marquez.
