Clippers take 3rd at Purchase College Golf Invitational

The Clippers golf team hit the links for the second time this year as they participated in the one-day Purchase Golf Invitational yesterday.  Within the nine team field the Clippers placed third, one point behind CACC rival Nyack College. 

Leading the Clippers for the second straight tournament was freshman Kyle Grandilli.  Grandilli recorded an 80, two shots behind the leader, which placed him in a tie for third place, marking his second third place finish. 

Jeffrey Schaller recorded another top ten finish as he placed in a tie for sixth place with an 81 for the round.

Finishing in a tie for thirteenth was Clipper freshman Sam Deitte.  Deitte shot an 85 on the tough course. 

Lorenz Kolmeder came in from the links with an 88 for the round placing him in a tie for 19th while Will Deitte rounded out the Clippers line-up as he came in with an 98 which was good for a tie for 32nd. 

The Clippers will hit the links for a two day tournament at the Dowling College September Shootout this Friday and Saturday, September 24-25.
