This season's Clippers team boasts 12 returning players from a 10-16 (9-9 in the CACC) season which saw drastic improvements in win total and level of competition. The 2010-2011 Clippers featured an All-Conference selection in Brandon Whitaker, as well as a professional signee in Senior William Eason. The team finished 2nd in the CACC in scoring at just under 80 points per game and established their brand of "New York Style" basketball.

Coach Sondey's primary responsibilities include overseeing all recruiting, in-game management, on-court development, academic progress, and off season skill improvement. Prior to becoming head coach, Sondey served as an assistant at Concordia. During that time Sondey oversaw academic progress, recruiting, individual development and fundraising.

This season Sondey will also continue to serve his role as the team's Director of Community Outreach which will host youth camps throughout the year. During his stay on campus Sondey has developed long lasting relationships with many youth groups in the local community.

Prior to coming to Concordia, Sondey had spent the 2009 - 2010 basketball season as the head men's basketball coach at The College of Westchester. In his one season at the helm of the Warriors, Sondey guided the team to its first ever league championship.

Sondey, who currently resides in Valhalla, N.Y., will also will be serving the Concordia Community as an Admission Counselor.
