NYACK, N.Y. – The Concordia Clippers men's basketball team traveled to Nyack College on Saturday afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game. Concordia was unable to come away with a win at the Bowman Gymnasium as the Warriors took an 82-74 victory.

The Clippers took an early 5-2 lead in the first half as Nyack scored five straight points to grab their first advantage of the game. The two sides would be neck-and-neck on the scoreboard as neither side was able to gain a sizable lead through much of the half. After the score was tied 24-24 with under seven minutes to go in the period, the Warriors used their three-point shooting to open up a 33-27 advantage. Nyack continued to add to their total as the home team would go into the locker room with a 43-28 lead.

In the second half Concordia would slowly cut into the deficit and by the 14:40 mark trailed 51-39. The Clippers would get to within 10 points, 53-43, but the Warriors used a 6-2 run to lead 59-45 with 11:18 to go in the half. Concordia would battle back again and brought the deficit to single digits after seven straight points made the score 65-57 with 7:07 to go. Nyack responded with a 7-0 run of their own and a run of 11 straight points for the Clippers got Concordia back within six with 35 seconds remaining in the game. The Clippers were unable to complete the comeback as the Warriors held on for the 82-74 win.

Senior Justyn Gardner (Queens, N.Y.) led Concordia with a season-high 19 points off the bench on 8-of-10 shooting from the field as he also added five rebounds. Senior Elijah Brown (Maplewood, N.J.) added 15 points and a game-high nine rebounds while redshirt-junior Cedrick McFadden (Washington, D.C.) chipped in with 11 points, a team-best seven assists, and five rebounds.
