PREVIEW: Men’s Basketball and USciences Square Off on Saturday Afternoon
BRONXVILLE, NY – Concordia will host Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent the University of the Sciences (USciences) on Saturday afternoon in their only regular season meeting. Tip-off at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY is set for 3pm following the women's game. The Clippers lead the all-time series, 2-0, between the two teams since their first meeting during the 2009-10 season according to historical records.
CONCORDIA VS. USCIENCES
- Concordia won their first meeting 76-59 on Feb. 28, 2010 in Bronxville, NY.
- The Clippers have scored 76 points in both games against the Devils.
- The last time Concordia and USciences met (Feb. 5, 2011), the Clippers won 76-73 in Philadelphia, PA. Norman Pope (Washington, D.C.) led Concordia with 23 points, five assists and three steals while also adding three rebounds in 39 minutes of action. Brandon Whitaker (Harlem, NY) finished with 16 points including a 4-of-6 performance from behind the three-point arc while Argelix Gil (Brooklyn, NY) recorded a double-double (13 points and 11 rebounds).

THE CONCORDIA COLLEGE CLIPPERS (8-10, 5-5 CACC)
- Picked to finish 6th in CACC North Division preseason poll, currently 3rd in the North Division standings.
- The Clippers previously fell to Post University, 77-60, on Tuesday evening. Argelix Gil (Brooklyn, NY) led the Clippers with a team-high 16 points and 12 rebounds. Gil also added three assists and a steal in 31 minutes of action while Norman Pope (Washington, D.C.) ended the game with 12 points.
- Within the CACC, Argelix Gil (Brooklyn, NY) is 2nd in points per game (19.1), 3rd in rebounds per game (11.2) and 5th in field goal percentage (55.2%). In Division II he is ranked 7th in rebounds per game according to the Jan. 22nd rankings.

- USciences is 0-9 in games away from Morgan Arena this season.
- The Devils previously fell to Holy Family, 77-71, on Thursday evening. Henry Messinger led USciences with 19 points while also adding three rebounds, an assist and a block. Four of the five starters for the Devils finished the game in double figures as the team held a 30-18 advantage in points in the paint.
- Freshman Garret Kerr leads the team in points per game (14.5), rebounds per game (12.6) and assists per game (2.4). Four players average over 10 points per game.
