BRONXVILLE, NY – Concordia will host Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival Dominican College on Wednesday for their second meeting of the season. Tip-off at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY is set for 7pm. The Chargers lead the all-time series 17-8 versus the Clippers since the 1972-73 season.

CONCORDIA VS. DOMINICAN

Dominican won their first meeting 73-52 on Dec. 5, 1972 in Nyack, NY.
Since joining the CACC in 2009, the Clippers are 1-4 in conference games against the Chargers as four of the five games have been decided by less than 10 points.
The last time Concordia and Dominican met (Dec. 3, 2011), the Chargers won 75-66 in Orangeburg, NY. Norman Pope (Washington, D.C.) led the Clippers with 16 points and added four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Freshman Jason Alleyne (New Rochelle, NY) added 13 points while chipping in with five rebounds, three assists and two steals for Concordia. Cory Quimby led the Chargers with 26 points and 14 rebounds.

THE CONCORDIA COLLEGE CLIPPERS (7-9, 4-4 CACC)

The Clippers previously fell to Bloomfield College, 79-73, on Thursday evening. Argelix Gil (Brooklyn, NY) led Concordia with a game-high 28 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field while also adding a game-high 18 rebounds. Gil also added two assists and two steals while Alleyne added 18 points and Pope finished with 15 points.
Within the CACC, Gil is 1st in points per game (19.9), 2nd in rebounds per game (11.4) and 6th in field goal percentage (55.2%). In Division II he is ranked 4th in rebounds per game according to the Jan. 12th rankings.
Concordia scores the most points per game (77.6) in the CACC and is ranked #51 in blocked shots per game (3.9) in Division II according to the Jan. 12th rankings.
