PREVIEW: Men’s Basketball Travels to Nyack as Gil Looks to Net 1,000th Point

BRONXVILLE, NY – Concordia will travel to battle Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Nyack College on Tuesday evening as the two teams will meet for the second time this season. Tip-off at the Bowman Center in Nyack, NY is set for 8pm following the women's game. The Clippers lead the all-time series 18-9 versus the Warriors since the 1973-74 season according to historical records.


CONCORDIA VS. NYACK

  •  Concordia won their first meeting, 69-66, on Nov. 17, 1973 in Nyack, NY.
  • Since joining the CACC in 2009, Concordia is 4-1 in conference games against Nyack.

THE CONCORDIA COLLEGE CLIPPERS (6-8, 3-3 CACC)

  • Picked to finish 6th in CACC North Division preseason poll.
  • The Clippers previously fell to Chestnut Hill, 86-73, on Saturday afternoon. Gil led Concordia with 23 points and 20 rebounds while adding three assists, a steal and a block. Freshman Jason Alleyne (Bronx, NY) dropped 17 points in the game along with grabbing three rebounds and Pope came off the bench to score 10 points.
  • Gil has currently scored 993 points and will most likely surpass the 1,000 point plateau against Nyack.
