Whitaker and Pope sweep CACC Weekly Honors
Brandon Whitaker, a sophomore guard from Harlem, NY, and Norman Pope a freshman from Washington, D.C., swept the CACC Men's Basketball Weekly Honors for the week ending February 6th.
Whitaker, earned the Player of the Week honor from the CACC for the first time as he helped lead the Clippers to a 2-0 week. Whitaker averaged 21.5 points per game this past week as he shot 75% from the field and 54.5% from behind the arc. He erupted this past Thursday against Nyack College with 27 points and then boasted 16 points on the road at the University of the Sciences two days later.
Pope earns his second CACC Rookie of the Week honor as he averaged
16 points, 5.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals during the
week. Pope registered 23 points with 5 assists and 3 steals
in the win down at the University of the Sciences.
On the other end of the court, Krystina Agard received an honorable mention for the week as the Lady Clippers went 1-1 on the week. Agard averaged 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3 steals per game during the week.
Whitaker, Pope and Agard, along with the rest of the Clippers will face off at Bloomfield College this Wednesday, then return home on Saturday as they host Wilmington University.
