Clippers Men's Basketball to Dedicate Season to Jimmy Sayegh

The Concordia College Men's Basketball team will dedicate the 2010-2011 season to Jimmy Sayegh on December 14th, 2010 prior to the tip off of the game versus Stonehill College.

In the Fall of 2007, a friendly, courteous, and hardworking young student athlete from Scarsdale, New York joined our Men’s Basketball team by the name of Jimmy Sayegh.

As a 6’9” accomplished basketball player at nearby Edgemont High School, Jimmy could not go unnoticed in our community and he did not disappoint.  Through the Spring of 2010, Jimmy successfully juggled his academic, athletics, and health challenges achieving a 3.2 GPA in our Biology program.

During his tenure with us, Jimmy was a positive, true joy to deal with -- making us smile with his, “Yo, my name is Jimmy Sayegh aKa. Big Jim. If You think u nice in basketball come play me 1 on 1 & ill make sure ill change ur mind!”

If success is not measured by the position that one ultimately achieves in life but by the dedication, contributions, and love that one gives to earn it, then we are humbled and honored to dedicate the 2010-2011 Concordia Men’s Basketball season to Jimmy’s success.

We thank Jimmy’s parents, Martin and Samia (Anabi) Sayegh, his brother Martin Jr., and the rest of his proud family of doctors, lawyers and educators for sharing Jimmy with us.
