Will Eason Hits 1,000th Career Point

Senior William Eason, a Springfield, Massachusetts native, scored his 1,000th career point in the Clippers home game with Caldwell College.  Before the game Eason needed just 17 points to the the illustrious 1,000 mark that so few hit. 

Eason knocked down just 7 points in the first half of the game leaving him with 10 points to go.  Starting the second half, Eason kicked into high gear as he made the first two shots of the half for the Clippers knocking him down to just 6 points before the mark.  Eason pulled himself within two points of the thousand after hitting two layups in less than a minute and a half.  As the clock ticked down and the game getting tight between the Clippers and the Cougars of Caldwell the Clippers looked inside to Eason and with a jumper from 10 feet away, Eason sunk his 1,000th career point with 8:34 left on the clock. 

At the end of the game Eason boasted 21 points and tacked on 19 rebounds for the game.
