Bronxville, NY - Eason out rebounds and hits career high as Clippers earn 4th win of the season
The Clippers defeated the Nyack College Warriors 87-75 in the second of two regular season bouts this season. The Clippers started off with capturing the lead over the Warriors just minutes into the game. Slowly but surely the Clippers pushed themselves and scored often. With the Warriors needed to stay close kept the game interesting at times coming within one point on several occasions. The Clippers played good defense to hold off the Warriors and led 36-28 heading into intermission
With the second half underway the Clippers took full advantage of
the break and came out strong scoring quickly extending their
lead into double digits. The Warriors fought back with three
pointers but with the layup and soft jump stylings of Will Eason
the Clippers stayed ahead. With minutes left in the game the
Warriors started to make their move and inched their back into the
game. Made free throws and a couple of more layups, gave the
Clippers the decision in the game as they defeated the Warriors.
Will Eason led the way with a career high 27 points. Eason also out rebounded the entire Warriors team with 21 rebounds on the night. Argelix Gil added another double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds of his own. Brandon Whitaker coughed up 15 points, 4 assists and 2 steals while Lavor Morris tossed up 11 points.
The Clippers will host the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia this Saturday at 3:00pm in a cross-divisional CACC game.
