Tampa, FL - Eason leads another comeback but Clippers sails cut by the Tritons
The Clippers faced off against Eckerd College early today in the
University of Tampa Classic. The Clippers started off strong
in the beginning of the game as they showed their strength with
Lavor Morris and Will Eason scoring quickly. The Eckerd
College Tritons came back and the battle began between the
two. The rest of the first half was a back and forth game as
the game was tied up 5 different times while the lead changed hands
9 others. The Tritons took the lead in the final minute of
the half and lead over the Clippers 34-28 at the end of the first
twenty minutes.
The Clippers came out and mounted their comeback in the 
second half. With the Clippers looking to sail over the
Tritons the back and forth battled ensued once again. Though
the Clippers were working hard to get back the Tritons poked a hole
through the sails and the Clippers ship stopped short with a final
score of 73-75.
Five Clippers put up double digits including Will Eason with
another double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds as well as
adding 5 blocks to his 
resume. Argelix Gil nabbed 12 points and 12 rebounds for his
double-double. Lavor Morris led the Clippers in points with
16 while Brandon Whitaker added 12 points his own and Matthew
Collins chipping in with 10.
The Clippers will head back down to Florida after Christmas to take on Nova Southeastern and Lynn University.
