Manchester, NH - Four come up big but not enough against Southern New Hampshire
The Concordia College Clippers kicked off the 2010 portion of their season facing off against the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University. The Clippers starting off slow fell behind quickly as the Penmen headed off to a 10-1 lead. The Clippers attempted to strike back but the Penmen held strong. With the Penmen in the lead the Clippers relaxed and found a way to strike back. The Clippers inched their way back into the game and were able to head to the locker room trailing by just one; 35-34.
The Clippers started the second half a bit on their heels as the Penmen took their one point lead and turned it into a double digit lead within minutes. The Clippers worked their way back cutting the lead down to five with several minutes left on the clock. Unfortunately, with a few missed shots by the Clippers, the Penmen regained their double digit lead and stole the game; 82-67.
Will Eason posted another double-double to his resume with 14
points and 13 rebounds and adding 4 blocks and 3 steals as
well. Brandon Whitaker led offensively with 20 points while
Douglas Soutar knocked 13 and Argelix Gil added 10.
The Clippers will next head back into CACC competition playing at
Nyack College this Thursday at 8:00pm.
