Pleasantville, NY - Gil posts another double-double but Clippers drop to Pace
The Concordia College Men's Basketball team took a break from the conference play to face off against Pace University. Even though the Clippers started off strong in the beginning of the game scoring quickly the Pace University Pacesetters battled through and took control. The Clippers struggled with their offense in the first half, shooting only 27.3% from the field. With the Pacesetters in control the Clippers found themselves down 23-38 at the end of the first half.
The second half of the game saw the Clippers pick up the pace against the Pacesetters. With pushing the ball down the court the Clippers matched up with their opponents. Even with the Clippers playing well, the time went quickly and the Clippers could not cut their deficit as they dropped to Pace 61-75.
Argelix Gil, a freshman, posted another double-double for his
season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Brendan Lyn, Lavor
Morris, and Brandon Whitaker each added 9 points to the Clippers
total.
The Clippers will head to the College of St. Rose this Friday.
