Wilmington, DE - Gil and Eason post big numbers but Lightning's struck stops Clippers
The Clippers went toe to toe with the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom. The battle ensued in the beginning of the first half and both teams answered each others points. The Lightning broke out first and controlled the tempo as the Clippers hit a wall. The Clippers attempting to get back into the game found themselves quickly overrun. The Clippers headed to the locker room down by twenty-two, 25-47.
The Clippers came out of the locker room renewed as they headed
back onto the court. Argelix Gil and Will Eason lead the way
for the Clippers comeback as they both scored in the double
digits. The Clippers found themselves climbing back into the
game outscoring their opponents in the second half 50-39.
Even though the Clippers were able to outscore the Lightning in the
second half it was unfortunately not enough. The Clippers
fell to the Lightning 75-86.
Argelix Gil put up 19 points with 17 rebounds to lead the
Clippers. Will Eason was right behind with 17 points, 7
rebounds and 3 blocks for the night.
The Clippers will next host Post University on January 19th for a 7:00pm game.
