Bronxville, NY -  Argelix Gil earns second CACC Rookie of the Week

Clippers Freshman Argelix Gil was named CACC Co-Rookie of the Week for the week ending January 31st, 2010.  This is Argelix's second Rookie of the Week honor from the CACC.  His first came three weeks ago on January 11th. 

Gil put up 21 points and 8 rebounds in the win over Dominican College to lead the Clippers to their third straight win over CACC opponents and their third win of the season.  He averaged 16.5 points per game in the 1-1 week for the Clippers.  He shot 58.3 % from the field all while bringing down an average of 5 rebounds per game on the week.     

Gil currently leads the Clippers in scoring with an average of 14.8 points per game.  He also finds himself in the top ten in the CACC in scoring and rebounding.
