Clippers Fall to Skyhawkss 65-43
Easton, MA - The Concordia College men's basketball team was defeated by the Skyhawks of Stonehill College 65-43 yesterday in a non-conference battle at Merkert Gymnasium in Easton, MA. Concordia falls to 1-6 on the year, while the Skyhawks improve to 8-2 overall.
Concordia was led by senior Alban Shala (Yorktown Heights, NY), who finished with 8 points. Sophomores William Eason (Springfield, MA) and Samuel Batista (Carolina, Puerto Rico) each added 7 points and juniors Kenny Gaskins (Bronx, NY) and Troy Young (Largo, MD) each chipped in 6 points. Young led the Clippers with 7 rebounds and Gaskins pulled down 6 rebounds.
For Stonehill, A.J. Rudowitz scored a game high 14 points and had 7 rebounds. Mike Kernan finished with a double-double, scoring 13 points and collecting 10 rebounds. Matt Hall chipped in 12 points. Randall Stallworth dished out a game high 7 assists for the Skyhawks.
The Clippers will look to end their 3-game skid on Sunday, December 14th as they travel to Waltham, MA to face the Falcons of Bentley University. The Falcons currently own the nation's longest home winning streak in Division II men's basketball at 41 games. Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM.
