Concordia Falls to Queens 68-60
Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College men's basketball team lost an East Coast Conference affair to the Knights of Queens College 68-60 tonight at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY.
Sophomore William Eason (Springfield, MA) led the Clippers with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Senior Dan Cunningham (Ulster Park, NY) finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds and teammate Alban Shala (Yorktown Heights, NY) added 9 points and 4 rebounds. Junior Kenny Gaskins (Bronx, NY) chipped in 8 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals.
For the Knights, Mike Liander scored a game high 14 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Martin Singleton finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Khaleef Allicott and Terrell Simmons chipped in 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
The loss drops the Clippers to 3-12 overall and 1-4 in the East Coast Conference. Queens improves to 3-10 on the season and 1-3 in the East Coast Conference.
Concordia will return to action on Saturday, January 17th, as they travel to Sparkill, NY to face the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College in a conference battle. Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM.
