McGill Named ECC Rookie of the Week

Central Islip, NY - Sophomore guard Torrence McGill (Manhattan, NY) has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, as voted by the confrence office today. McGill helped the Clippers to a 68-51 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, 6 steals and 2 assists. It was the first win of the season for Concordia. McGill also had 15 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals in a 86-76 loss to the University of New Haven on Wednesday night.

Currently, the sophomore guard leads the ECC in steals per game with 5.5 steals and ranks 20th in the ECC in scoring at 11.8 points per game.

The Clippers will be back in action on Wednesday, December 5th, as they travel to Garden City, NY to take on the Adelphi University Panthers. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
