Saint Martin's Tops Clippers 85-50
Lacey, WA - The Concordia College men's basketball team was defeated by the Redhawks of Saint Martin's University 85-50 last night at the SMU Pavilion in Lacey, WA. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Clippers and drops their record to 4-8 overall.
Concordia was led by senior Richard Fields (Bronx, NY), who totaled 11 points and 7 rebounds in 24 minutes of action. Junior Dan Cunningham (Kingston, NY) scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Sophomore Kenny Gaskins III (Bronx, NY) finished with 9 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals for the Clippers.
For the Redhawks, Jake Linton and Bill Richardson each scored 12 points and Brendan Campbell, Mike Ognoskie and Michael McIver each chipped in 11 points. Campbell led the Redhawks with 9 rebounds and Linton was the high assist player, finishing with 6 assists. Saint Martin's improves to 5-4 overall with the win.
The Clippers will return to action on Saturday, January 5th, as they travel to Brookville, NY to face the Pioneers of C.W. Post in ECC action. The game will begin at 4:00 PM.
