Fields Collects Player of the Week Honors

Central Islip, NY - Senior Richard Fields (Bronx, NY) has been selected the East Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office this past Sunday.

Fields helped the Clippers to a 1-1 showing at the ECAC Holiday Classic held at the University of Bridgeport lasst week. The senior scored a game high 28 points on 7-14 shooting from the floor and 13-16 shooting from the free throw line in the Clippers 78-72 win over Post University. Fields also had 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in the win. The following night, Fields finished with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in a 78-66 loss to Saint Anselm College.

Fields leads the Clippers in scoring at 17.2 points per game, 6th best in the East Coast Conference. The senior also is 2nd in the conference in steals per game with 2.22 per contest.

The Clippers will travel to Seattle, WA and compete in the Oak Harbor Classic held at Seattle Pacific University on Friday and Saturday, December 28th -29th. Concordia will battle the host Falcons of Seattle Pacific University on Friday at 7:00 PM PST and will take on the Seattle University Redhawks on Saturday at 5:00 PM PST.
