Clippers Lose 73-72 to Lions

Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College men's basketball team was defeated by the Molloy College Lions 73-72 last night at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. The Clippers fall to 4-11 overall on the season and 3-5 in the East Coast Conference.

Senior Lamont Wilson (Manhattan, NY) led the way for Concordia, scoring a team high 16 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Fellow senior Richard Fields (Bronx, NY) contributed 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, while sophomore Kenny Gaskins III (Bronx, NY) added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Junior Troy Young (Largo, MD) finished with 8 points and 5 rebounds and William Eason (Springfield, MA) and Dan Cunningham (Kingston, NY) each chipped in 6 points.

For the Lions, Glenn Martin had a game high 20 points and 8 rebounds. Brian Hutchinson and Carl Palmer each finished with 15 points and Vincent Falzone had a double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. Molloy improves to 8-6 overall and 6-2 in the East Coast Conference.

Concordia will host the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport on Wednesday, January 16th at the Meyer Athletic Center. The game will begin at 7:00 PM.
