Clippers Fall to Panthers 72-64
Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College men's basketball team was defeated by the Panthers of Adelphi University 74-62 yesterday at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. The Clippers were led by junior Richard Fields (Bronx, NY), who scored 14 points and added 3 assists and 3 steals. Freshman Kenny Gaskins III (Bronx, NY) scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in just 26 minutes of action. Gaskins shot 6 for 12 (50%) from the floor for the game. Senior Jonathan Duperon (Philadelphia, PA) shot 4 for 6 (67%) from the floor, including a perfect 3 for 3 from 3-point range, in scoring 12 points for Concordia.
For Adelphi, Mike Mosby scored a game high 21 points and grabbed a game high 11 rebounds, including 6 on the offensive end. Kimani Blaize added 12 points and 5 rebounds and Samuel Jenkins chipped in 10 points and 4 rebounds.
The Clippers drop their first East Coast Conference game to fall to 1-1 in ECC play and 1-4 overall. Adelphi University improves to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in East Coast Conference play.
Concordia will next play a non-conference game against the Setters of Pace University on Saturday, December 9th. The game will begin at 3:00 PM.
