Freshman Gaskins Named ECC Rookie of the Week

Bronxville, NY - Freshman Kenny Gaskins III (Bronx, NY) was named East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the week of 12/11/2006.  Gaskins was one rebound away from a triple-double in the Clippers 109-96 overtime victory over Pace University this past Saturday. Gaskins finished with 24 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. The freshman guard scored 15 of his 24 points in the second half, as Concordia erased a 17-point second half deficit in the come from behind win.

Through the first 7 games of the season, Gaskins is third on the team in scoring (91 points) and points per game (13.0 ppg), first in assists (29 assists) and second in rebounding (6.7 rpg) and steals (14 steals).
