Pioneers Sail Past Clippers 74-58
Brookville. NY - Freshman Andre Laird (Bronx, NY) was one rebound shy of his second consecutive double-double, as the Clippers fell to C.W. Post 74-58 yesterday at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, NY. Laird finished the game with 11 points and 9 rebounds in 24 minutes of playing time. Freshman Kenny Gaskins III (Bronx, NY), who was just named East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, led the Clippers with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Juniors William Cherry (Mt. Vernon, NY) and Richard Fields (Bronx, NY) each added 10 points and senior Jonathan Duperon (Philadelphia, PA) chipped in 6 points.
John Morris led C.W. Post with a game high 17 points and Raul Mercedes finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Jonathan Schmidt added 15 points and 7 assists.
Concordia falls to 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the East Coast Conference. C.W. Post improves to 6-2 overall and 4-0 in the East Coast Conference.
The Clippers will return to action on Friday, December 15th, as they host the Dowling College Golden Lions. The action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
