Concordia Tops Spartans for First Win of the Season
Sparkill, NY - Junior Richard Fields (Bronx, NY) poured in a game high 25 points as the Clippers defeated St. Thomas Aquinas College 63-59 last night in Sparkill, NY. Fields, who also pulled down 6 rebounds, shot 14 for 15 (93.3%) from the free throw line in the game. Junior Will Cherry (Mt. Vernon, NY) scored 11 points and 3 assists and Lamont Wilson (New York, NY) added 8 points and 6 rebounds. Jonathan Duperon (Philadelphia, PA) and Andre Laird (Bronx, NY) each chipped in 7 points for the Clippers.
St. Thomas Aquinas was led by Akeem Comas, who scored 14 points and Ahmed Allen, who added 12 points and 12 rebounds. Chris Williams and Willis Kettrell each chipped in 10 points for the Spartans.
Concordia improves to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in the East Coast Conference. St. Thomas Aquinas falls to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
The Clippers return to the court on Saturday, December 2nd to face the Adelphi University Panthers in an East Coast Conference game. The action will begin at 1:00 PM.
