Lions Claw Clippers 95-75
Bronxville, NY - Junior Richard Fields (Bronx, NY) scored a game high 21 points in a losing effort, as the Molloy College Lions defeated the Clippers 95-75 last night at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, NY. Fields also has 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Senior Jonathan Duperon (Philadelphia, PA) finished with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Fields and Duperon shot a combined 8 for 17 (47%) from 3-point range. Kenny Gaskins III (Bronx, NY) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Alphonso Duhart (Hillside, NJ) chipped in 12 points. The loss drops the Clippers record to 8-15 overall and 7-10 in the East Coast Conference.
For the Lions, Keith Tilley and Vincent Falzone each finished with a double-double. Tilley scored a team high 20 points and dished out 12 assists. Falzone scored 13 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Todd Hampton added 15 points and Glenn Martin chipped in 14 points. Molloy College improves to 14-10 overall and 10-7 in the East Coast Conference.
The Clippers will return to action on Thursday, February 15th,
as they host the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport at
the Meyer Athletic Center. The last time these teams met, the
Purple Knights downed the Clippers 88-79 on January 17th in
Bridgeport, CT. Gaskins and Duperon led the Clippers charge in that
contest, scoring 18 points and 17 points, respectively. Ernest
Daney finished with a game high 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
The action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
