Paul LaMarr enters his third year on the Concordia College coaching staff.  His serves as Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Clippers’ baseball program.  In his first year, the Clippers pitching staff had a large deal of success.  Senior Jose Aquino and Sophomore Pete Denyssenko each earned ECC All-Conference, while senior Robert Gorvetzian won ECC pitcher of the week twice and tossed a no-hitter.  The 2010 season again brought several honors for the Concordia pitching staff.  Under LaMarr’s supervision, freshmen Eric Skutch and Anthony Pisano each earned CACC Rookie of the Week honors, while Keith Malanga earned CACC Pitcher of the Week.

Last summer, LaMarr served as pitching for the Staunton Braves, a member of the Valley Baseball League.  The VBL is widely considered to be one of the top college summer leagues in the country. While in the Valley, LaMarr had the opportunity to coach players from several top programs, including LSU, Florida Atlantic, Florida International and Univ. of South Florida.  Three Brave pitchers were named to the Perfect Game’s Valley League Top Prospect list.

LaMarr began his coaching career at Queensborough Community College in Bayside, NY. He also spent two years as a pitching coach for the Long Island Tigers summer baseball club and two years as the showcase team Head Coach for the Team New York Cardinals summer baseball club. He has also worked as a senior instructor and site director for ten years for the New York Mets Baseball Academy.

He played collegiately at Stony Brook University and Rider University, earning a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Stony Brook.
