Walsh, Gonzalez and Berrios Honored with All-CACC

Three  Clippers Baseball players were honored today with All-CACC honors.  The players are nominated and then voted on by the baseball coaches from the participating CACC baseball teams.
TJ Walsh, a senior from Eastchester, NY, garnered First Team All-CACC this season (earned an honorable mention last season).  Walsh, mainly a designated hitter for the Clippers, helped lead the team with a .307 batting average.  Walsh has hit 43 times including 10 doubles driving in 22 runs while scoring 25 times himself. 
 
Walsh is currently ranked 224th in doubles per game, 290th in hits by pitch & 389th in doubles on the NCAA Division II lists.  He is also ranked in the CACC 6th in doubles and 10th in individual batting. 
 
 
Luis Gonzalez, a sophomore from Carmel, NY, earns his first All-CACC First Team honor.  Gonzalez also helped lead the Clippers with a .312 batting average.  He hit 39 times with 11 doubles and two home runs while driving in 19 runs and scoring 23 times himself.  Gonzalez also leads the team in hit by pitches with eight. 
 
Gonzalez currently is ranked 253rd on the doubles per game, 290th on the hit by pitch list, 389th on the doubles list, 421st on the base on balls (walks) list & 433rd  on the on base percentage list in the NCAA Division II.  He is also ranked 8th in Individual batting, 7th in doubles, 6th in on base percentage, and 7th in slugging percentage in the CACC.
Jason Berrios, a junior from Brooklyn, NY, garnered second team All-CACC honors for the season.  Berrios led the Clippers in batting average as he hit .313 for the season and in stolen bases with 24.  He has 16 RBI's while scoring 26 times as well.
Berrios is currently ranked 20th in Stolen Bases per game, 33rd in stolen bases, & 350th in base on balls (walks) in the NCAA Division II.  He is also ranked 7th in individual batting, 1st in stolen bases, 8th in walks, & 8th in on base percentage in the CACC.
