Robertson, another Clippers relief pitcher came into the game in
top of the ninth and was able to keep the Eagles at five runs

inning off with a pop up blooper that landed right behind the
pitching mound for a single. Mike Scaicchitano knocked a
single to left field and the Clippers had something going.

With a sacrifice bunt from Billy O'Connell, Roth and Walsh were able to move up into scoring position. A single to left field by Greg Conway scored Roth and the Clippers answered the Eagles run with one of their own.
Two innings later the Eagles put another run on the board and took back the lead. The Clippers struggled once more at the plate and were unable to get anything going. As the ninth inning rolled along the Eagles scored two more runs to give them the 4-1 lead.
Billy O'Connell hit a single down the right line to led the Clippers off in the bottom of the ninth. A single up the middle by Greg Conway move O'Connell to second. The Clippers then put their third man on base as Mike Sciacchitano was walked aboard. A pitching change for the Eagles would be the Clippers downfall as they could not score anyone that was on base and the Clippers fell to the Eagles in game two 4-1.

for the day. Donnie Roth hit 3 for 8 with 2 runs scored and 3
