Clippers fall hard to Warriors

Box score

The Clippers headed to Nyack College to finish out the series with the Warriors.  The Clippers grabbed the first two games against the Warriors.

The Clippers started connecting with the ball early but the Warriors were there to take the hits away.  With the Clippers retiring early in the first inning it was up to Jesse Horsham to start the Clippers off with their defensive end.

The Warriors hit straight away and scored two off of the Clippers in the first inning.  The Clippers then held them to a scoreless second inning to hold the Warriors off.

The top of the third saw the Clippers first base runner as Difre Reyes was walked on base.  With two passed balls Reyes moved up to third.  The Clippers unfortunately stuck out the rest of the inning and Reyes was left on base.

The Warriors added another run in the third inning as they continued to hit the ball well.  With the Clippers still unable to get anyone around the bases the game moved along and time was running out.  With the bottom of the fourth the Warriors added even more runs to their scoreboard with scoring four runs before the Clippers could stop them.

The Clippers got few hits in as the other were tracked down by the Warriors.  With the top of the seventh Billy O'Connell led off with a double.  Greg Conway then traded places with O'Connell with a double of his own and the Clippers were finally on the scoreboard.

The Clippers tried in the eighth and the ninth to catch up but nothing could be done and the Clippers fell to the Warriors 9-1.

The Clippers will host Pace University on Friday, April 9th at 3:30pm.
