Box score

The Clippers headed to Garden City, NY to face the Adelphi University Panthers.  The Clippers led off the game as Anthony Carnacchio hit a single to get on base.  The Panthers pitcher then stopped the Clippers from hitting and the Clippers would now have to go to work in the field.

Matthew Gelormio was given the ball to pitch for the Clippers today and was perfect through the first two innings, retiring six while striking out three.

The Clippers earned a run in the top of the third as Tommy Paradise was walked on base with one out.  After being hit by a pitch Anthony Carnacchio move Paradise over to second and the Clippers had two runners on.  A single to right field by David Perlleshi loaded the bases for the Clippers and for Donnie Roth.  Roth then swung the bat and connected for a single to score Paradise and the Clippers were up one.

The Panthers answered the Clippers run in the bottom of the third and then again in the fourth to take the lead 3-1.

The top of the fifth saw the Clippers other run score after Tommy Paradise was once again walked on base.  Anthony Carnacchio, who went 2 for 3 for the day, hit a double to score Paradise.

The Clippers were unable to score any more runs through the rest of the game as their hitting slowed.  The Panthers answered the Clippers run with three more to give them the 6-2 win over the Clippers.

The Clippers will host Post University this Friday, April 2nd at 12:00pm.
