Bronxville, NY - Senior Robert Gorvetzian (Jackson Heights, NY), the reigning East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, continued his brilliant performance on the mound with a 5-0 victory over the Knights of Queens College today at Clipper Baseball Field in Bronxville, NY. Gorvetzian pitched a complete, 9-inning game, while allowing only 2 hits and 1 walk with 5 strikeouts on the day. The senior pitched a no-hitter in a 9-0 win back on March 4th against Chestnut Hill College.

Two batters later, senior Matthew Shelley (Floral Park, NY) drove home the second run for the Clippers with a sacrifice fly to right field.
The Clippers added to the lead in the 6th inning, when junior Difre Reyes (Manhattan, NY) hit an infield single with runners on second and third base to increase the lead to 3-0. The next batter up to the plate, Ferraro, flied out to left field to score the runner on third base and put Concordia ahead 4-0.
In the 8th inning, the Clippers would put the final run of the game on the scoreboard as Reyes singled to right field, scoring sophomore Donny Madera (Pleasantville, NY) to make the final score 5-0.
For the Knights, Luis Rojas and Jeffrey Gomez each hit a double off Gorvetzian for the only two hits for Queens College. Kyle Contino pitched 7 innings for the Knights, allowing 7 hits and 4 earned runs with 2 strikeouts.
