Gorvetzian Earns ECC Pitching Honors

Central Islip, NY - Senior Robert Gorvetzian (Jackson Heights, NY) was named the East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the ECC office yesterday.

Gorvetzian made 3 appearances this past week in the Palm Beach Challenge at the Santaluces Sports Complex in Palm Beach, FL. Gorvetzian pitched a complete game, no-hitter in a 9-0 victory over Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday afternoon. Gorvetzian allowed only one batter to reach base, via a walk, and struck out 4 batters in the win.

For the week, Gorvetzian pitched 10.1 innings, allowing 4 hits, 5 runs, 7 strikeouts and no earned runs. The Clippers are 4-10 on the season.
