New Haven Tops Clippers 11-8
Bronxville, NY - The Concordia College baseball team was defeated by the University of New Haven Chargers 11-8 today at Clipper Baseball Field in Bronxville, NY.
Sophomore Greg Conway (Floral Park, NY) batted 4 for 5 with an RBI and scored 3 runs for the Clippers. Senior Peter Dempsey (Brewster, NY) collected 2 hits and drove in 4 runs. Sophomore T.J. Walsh (Eastchester, NY) had a hit and 2 RBI and freshman Mike Sciacchitano (Wappinger, NY) finished with 2 hits and scored a run.
For the Chargers, Evan Okan went 4 for 5 and drove in 4 runs. Kyle Donnelly had 3 hits and 2 RBI, while teammate Dan Rosa also collected 3 hits and an RBI. Michael Moras drove in 2 runs on a home run in the 5th inning.
The Clippers fall to 6-19 overall and 2-10 in the East Coast Conference. The Chargers improve to 13-13 overall and 9-3 in the East Coast Conference.
Concordia will be back on the field on Thursday, April 10th, as
they travel to Sparkill, NY to face the Spartans of St. Thomas
Aquinas College. The action begins at 3:30 PM.
