The Lions scored a run in the 1st and another in the 2nd inning. The lead would increase to 3-0 on a 2-out double to left center by T.J. Greig that scored Nolan Kucich from first base.

In the top of the 6th inning, Christopher Irwin led off with a home run to center field. Two batters later, Patrick Walsh doubled to center field and would later steal third base. The next batter, Robert LaRusso would double down the left field line to score Walsh to put the Lions ahead 5-0.
