Gagliardi's Home Runs Lifts Clippers Past Lions 13-5

Bronxville, NY - Senior Michael Gagliardi (Cortlandt Manor, NY) hit two home runs to help the Clippers defeat the Lions of Molloy College 13-5 today at Clipper Baseball Field in Bronxville, NY. Gagliardi batted 4 for 5 in the game and drove in 5 runs for the Clippers. Senior Kevin Hickey (New Fairfield, CT) and junior Peter Dempsey (Brewster, NY) each hit a home run and finished with 3 RBI apiece.

The Clippers belted out 16 hits on the afternoon, tying the season high mark that was set against Pace University back on March 30th.

 

 

Senior Mike Quick (Port Jervis, NY) pitched eight inning for Concordia, surrendering 7 hits and 5 earned run, while striking out 6 batters. Quick improves to 4-2 on the season.

The win improves the Clippers record to 13-17 overall and 8-10 in the East Coast Conference. The Lions fall to 15-23 overall and 6-13 in the East Coast Conference.

Concordia will return to the field on Tuesday, April 24th, as they host the Golden Falcons of Felician College in a non-conference match-up. The game will begin at 3:30 PM.
