Concordia Tops Deacons 15-5
Bronxville, NY - Sophomore Jose Aquino (Bronx, NY) pitched 7 strong innings for Concordia, allowing 6 hits, 3 runs and striking out 7 batters, as the Clippers defeated the Bloomfield College Deacons 15-5 this afternoon at Clipper Baseball Field in Bronxville, NY. Aquino picks up his firs twin of the season and improves his record to 1-2.
Senior Kevin Hickey (New Fairfield, CT) picked up three hits on the day, including a 2-run home run in the 7th inning. Freshman Anthony Fratto (Newburgh, NY) also crushed a home run, a 3-run blast to center field in the 1st inning. Hickey and Fratto each finished the game with 4 RBI. Senior Michael Gagliardi (Cortlandt Manor, NY) finished the game with 3 hits and 3 RBI. Freshman Harold Mejia (Miami, FL) scored a run and finished with 3 hits.
The Clippers improve to 8-13 overall. Bloomfield College falls to 11-15 overall.
Concordia will host the Golden Lions of Dowling College on
Wednesday, April 11th. It will be a single game and will begin at
3:00 PM
