Florida Tech Pounds Clippers 10-0
Melbourne, FL - Sam Palace went 4 for 5 from the plate and drove in 2 runs to lead the Panthers of Florida Tech past the Clippers 10-0 yesterday afternoon at Seminick-Les Field in Melbourne, FL. Michael Gagliardi (Cortlandt Manor, NY) was the lone Clipper with multiple hits, as the senior finished with 2 hits, a double in the 1st inning and a single in the 4th inning. Five other Clippers finished with a hit as Concordia totaled seven hits for the game. Freshman Jesse Horsham (Port Jervis, NY) pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 11 hits and 9 runs. Horsham also struck out 2 Panther batters and walked 8 in picking up the loss.
Concordia, playing their 5th game in 3 days, falls to 0-5 on the season.
The Clippers will take to the field again on Tuesday, March 6th
against the Fighting Knights of Lynn University. The game will be
played on the campus of Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL and will
begin at 12:00 PM.
