Altamonte Springs, FL - You can follow the action of the Concordia College men's and women's tennis teams with Live Stats as they compete in the NCAA Division II Tennis Championships in Altamonte Springs, FL. Rollins College and the Central Florida Sports Commission will serve as the official hosts for the fifth time in the last seven years and all matches will be played at Sanlando Park Wednesday, May 13th through Saturday, May 16th.

The men's tennis team will square off in the Round of 16 against the Huskies of Bloomsburg University at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, May 13th. The Clippers defeated the Huskies 9-0 back on April 17th in Bloomsburg, PA. The Clippers have qualified for the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships 13 times and have reached Round of 16 for the fifth straight year. Last season, the Argos of the University of West Florida rallied from a 4-1 deficit to beat Concordia 5-4 in the Round of 16.

The women's tennis team will face the Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney in their Round of 16 match-up on Wednesday, May 13th beginning at 1:30 PM. Concordia is making just their second appearance in the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championships. In 1999, the Clippers defeated Wingate University 5-2 before falling to the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb University by a score of 5-4.

Concordia is one of ten institutions to have both their men's and women's teams reach the NCAA Division II Tennis Championship Round of 16. The other schools to accomplish the feat are Northwood University (MI), Bloomsburg University, BYU-Hawaii, Abilene Christian University, Lynn University, Hawaii Pacific University, St. Edward's University, Drury University and defending men's and women's champion Armstrong Atlantic State University.
