SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) published the final NCAA Division II individual and team rankings on Thursday. The men are now ranked 8th in the nation and 1st in the East Region while the women are 26th in DII and 3rd in the East Region.
On the men's side for individual awards, freshman Jui Mao (Taipei, Taiwan) is the 13th-ranked singles player while senior Juuso Ojanen (Varkaus, Finland) is 23rd in the nation. Mao and junior Ofir Ginat (Raa'nana, Israel) are the 6th-ranked doubles team in DII while senior Benas Majauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania) and junior Lorenzo Montegiorgi (Velletri, Italy) are the 19th-ranked duo in the country.
At the regional level seven of the top-10 singles rankings belong to the Clippers on the men's side. Mao and Ojanen occupy the top-two respective positions while Montegiorgi is 4th, Majauskas is 5th, and junior Rafael Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) is 6th. Senior Tomasz Olfans (Opole, Poland) is 8th in the East Region while Ginat is 10th. For doubles in the region, Mao and Ginat are 1st, Majauskas and Montegiorgi are 2nd, and Ojanen and Ferreira are 4th.
For the women's squad, senior Romana Tabak (Bratislava, Slovakia) is the 26th-ranked singles player in DII while sophomore Costanza Mecchi (Rome, Italy) is 27th. The duo also is nationally ranked in doubles as they occupy the 11th place position.
Within the East Region Tabak is the top-ranked singles player while Mecchi is the 2nd-ranked singles player. Senior Linda Eliasson (Gothenburg, Sweden) joins the two in the East Region singles rankings as she is T-20th. Tabak and Mecchi are the only doubles duo for the Concordia women's team ranked in the region as the pair is 1st.
