Concordia Boasts Six on 2011 Spring CACC All-Academic

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has announced its All-Academic team for the 2011 spring athletic season today. A total of 100 student-athletes among the 14 conference schools earned a place on the list, which is seven more than 2010.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a spring CACC Championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher. The six member of the 2011 Spring All-Academic come from Concordia's Baseball and Softball team.  From the Baseball team, Seniors TJ Walsh and Billy O'Connell and Junior Christopher Motta, all of whom are second time recipients.  Walsh, a native of Eastchester, NY, recently graduated with a degree in Education.  O'Connell, is from Dobbs Ferry, NY, also recently graduated, his degree is in Biology.  Motta, the lone Junior is a Bronx, NY native, and is pursuing his degree in Education. 

From the Softball team, Senior Jillian Maselli, Junior Victoria Pisciotta and Sophomore Laura Brezovsky all are honored.  Maselli, from Bellmore, NY, is a first time honoree of the All-Academic team and recently earned her degree in Elementary Education.  Pisciotta, the Long Island, NY native, is the only second time recipient of the All-Academic Team from Softball and is currently pursuing her degree in Elementary Education.  Brezovsky, a first time recipient is a Yonkers, NY native, is pursuing her degree in Psychology.
