Five Clippers honored on 2010 CACC Fall All-Academic List

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced its All-Academic Team for the 2010 fall season.  Five members of the Clippers were honored amongst the 151 total students that were honored throughout the fourteen conference schools.

In order to be named to the CACC Fall All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the fall.  They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester. 

The Clipper five come from four out of the six fall sports.  From the Clippers Men's Soccer team, Xhovano Dardha, a junior from Detroit, Michigan studying Biology, earns this award for the second time.  Another second time honoree is Volleyball player Amanda Byrd.  Byrd, also studying Biology is a senior from Clarkston, Michigan.  Joining Amanda from the Volleyball team is sophomore Chelsea Zurcher, a Crofton, Maryland who is pursuing an education degree.  From the Women's Soccer team, Kareena Seaton, a junior from Medford, NY who is studying Social Sciences.  Rounding out the Clipper five is women's tennis sophomore, Yuliya Plevako.  Plevako is from Astana, Kazakhstan and is working on a degree towards Business Administration.
