Bronxville, NY - 6 Clippers earn CACC 2009 Fall All-Academic Honors
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced its All-Academic Team for the 2009 fall season. Six members of the Clippers were honored amongst the 149 total students that were honored throughout the fourteen conference schools.
In order to be named to the CACC Fall All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the fall. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester.
The Clippers six come from five of the six sports in the
fall. From the Clippers Men's Soccer team, Xhovano Dardha, a
sophomore from Detroit, Michigan, studying Biology. The
Women's Soccer team boasts two honorees; Seniors Rachel Woodland,
from Surrey, England, and Danielle Davies, from Croydon, England,
both studying International Business. From the Volleyball team
Amanda Byrd, a junior from Clarkston, Michigan studying
Biology. The Women's Team added one of their own with Ely
Ntumy, from Accra, Ghana, also a junior studying Biology. The
Women's Cross Country team adds another Biology major, Senior Emily
Ringelberg.
